Farm Store

April 29th & 30th, 2023 was the grand opening of the farm store. I was so busy that I didn't take any pictures!

I had originally wanted to renovate an old granary, but it was much more cost effective to add on to our existing home & garage. 

My husband has a construction business & has done almost all of the work himself. My sweet farm cat, Boots, was sitting in the "window" while he worked one day. 

This picture was taken in the fall of 2021; Ryan was getting ready to pour concrete for the floor. This was such an exciting day and I've been dreaming of my shop/store/party area ever since!

The farm store is essentially a 3rd garage stall, but separated from the other 2 stalls by a wall. The store will have a separate entrance & a covered porch. When you visit, relax on the porch & enjoy the view. 

Since we did most of the work ourselves, this project was done during our spare time. I was teaching full time, so it was always a surprise to see what Ryan got done each day. If you are a teacher/farmer/rancher/business owner, you know how little spare time exists. 

Farm life is the best life. On summer evenings, you can find me on the porch patiently waiting for the chickens to head into the barn for the night. I can't wait to share this with you!
